Summer is in full-swing and we here at Bowfish Kids have a bucket list full of amazing activities for you to check off with your children! Read on for fun, local ideas that are sure to leave you with loads of memories to cherish.

1.Take a sunset stroll along the boardwalk

The boardwalk has it all! You and your little one(s) can take an evening walk along the bustling boards, taking in all of the sights, sounds, and yummy food smells. First, stop at Castaway Cove and purchase some tickets to ride the rides. Don’t forget to hop on the Ferris wheel and see way out over the ocean! Then, head on over to Kohr Brothers for some delightful soft serve… Sprinkles are a must! End the night on the beach with some comfy sweatshirts and a blanket while you watch the sun set behind the sea.

2. Have a pizza-and-game night in

Bring on the competition! Get the family together for a fun night in full of games and laughter. Before breaking out the board games, make a pit stop at the boardwalk to pick up a pie (or two) from Manco and Manco’s Pizza. Toppings? Yes, please! Once home, get dressed in your comfiest clothes, set the pizza out, and call the family in. Game night can begin!

 3. Plan a beach cleanup day with friends

We here at Bowfish take the health of our environment seriously, so we hop on any chance to promote a beach cleanup! Gather some local friends, pick up trash bags, grab a few pairs of gloves, and carpool on over to the beach for a productive day in mother nature. You can spend quality time your little one AND help the planet? That’s a win.

4. Attend a Bowfish Studios special event: Paint with Princess Beauty on July 19^th 

Did you know that Bowfish hosts in-studio events for your little ones? Check out our Bowfish Studios website to see what’s going on in-house and be sure to book ahead of time. Our next event is coming up soon on Tuesday, July 19^th: Paint with Princess Beauty. A $45 ticket provides your child with everything they need for a themed paint session, as well as a photo with a princess! One adult is allowed to accompany a child to this particular event.

 5. Day Camp

Day camp is a great place to make new friends, try new things, and have an all-around blast! Bowfish is hosting our very own Mermaid Day Camp with some dates this month, as well as next. At our Mermaid Day Camp, your little one has the opportunity to learn how to paddleboard with Ocean City Paddle Company, go swimming in our mermaid tails, and get creative with Peace of Wood. Our day camp is truly a one-of-a-kind, memorable experience for your child!

 6. Backyard bubble party

The summer fun doesn’t stop at day camp! Your backyard is the perfect spot for some fun outdoor activities, such as… a bubble party! Outfit your little one in their Bowfish swim, throw on the sprinklers, and get your hands on a bottle of eco-friendly bubbles from Bubble Tree. The best part? You can make memories with your little one from the comfort of your own home.

 7. Go back-to-school shopping on Asbury Ave

Get ready for fall! Cooler times are just a few short weeks away and getting prepared for back-to-school ahead of time will leave you with less stress leading up to the start of the school year. Plan a day of shopping with your little one to get them excited for the year ahead. First stop? Bowfish Kids! Pick up a new backpack, everyday sneakers, and fresh wardrobe to have your child all prepped. When you’re done with your shopping spree at Bowfish, head on over to Bungalow Bowls for a refreshing and healthy lunch.

 8. A makeover with Bowfish Studios

Makeover, anyone? Bowfish Studios is also known for our magical transformations. A great way to take a break from the sun and spend time with your little one, we can turn your child into the majestic being of their dreams—mermaids, sharks, dragons, and more! They are transported to another world once they see the amazing work of our well-trained stylists.
