Calling all creative kids ages 12 & under! We’re so excited to launch our very second Official Tote Bag Design Contest! This is an opportunity for your child's artwork to be featured on our brand-new reusable shopping tote bags that will be sold in-store.

DESIGN PROMPT

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT SUMMER IN OCNJ?

Use your imagination and bright summer colors to create a fun tote bag design that shows what an OCNJ summer means to YOU!
Draw your favorite beach day, boardwalk treats, bike rides, seashells, ice cream, surfing, or summer fun with family & friends!

DESIGN GUIDELINES

1. Designs must be hand-drawn (with pencils, markers, or colored pencils!)

2. Must follow the provided prompt for the design (see above).

2. Include the words "Bowfish Kids" and "OCNJ" or "Ocean City, NJ" clearly somewhere in your design.

3. Keep your design to one side of an 8.5” x 11” sheet of paper (portrait).

4. Designs should be original and made by the child; no tracing or copyrighted images.

ARTIST SPOTLIGHT

Molly is the winner of our "What does sustainability mean to you?" Tote Bag Design Contest in October 2025.

When creating her bag, Molly thought carefully about every detail. She included worms to represent composting, a water spout to represent how water shouldn't be wasted, and a no-plastic symbol because "if animals eat it, they can get really sick."

Molly loves soccer, basketball, reading, and art. She even takes lessons with an amazing local artist, @timsmithart!

We are so inspired by Molly's creativity and her knowledge of sustainability, already at just 10 years old. Congrats, Molly, and thank you to all of our amazing participants!
