Sustainable Gifts
If you are familiar with Bowfish Kids, you know that sustainability is our passion and what we are always striving to improve upon. Most of the brands we carry uphold eco-friendly practices, such as manufacturing with the use of recycled materials, reducing water usage throughout the production process, and using natural dyeing solutions. Many of them have also switched from single-use plastic packaging to recycled options.
So…what are some of these brands? We are so glad you asked! The sustainable brands we are loving this holiday season include Kinderfeets and Eeboo.
First up—Kinderfeets! Kinderfeets has a Neverlands origin and was inspired by traditional Dutch bikes. The brand mostly sells bikes made from bamboo, as well as other sustainable woods. These beautiful bikes are made from bamboo because the textile is self-regenerative, grows fast, and does not require any toxic chemicals for growth. A bonus is that the bamboo will not rust from salt air! Sounds great, doesn’t it?
Their traditional Balance Bike is certainly a favorite of ours. It is BPA-free and best suited for children two years and up.

Another great brand for sustainable gifts is Eeboo. They offer an array of games ranging from Go Fish to conversation cards, and everything in between. Their spin on classic games is what we especially love about them.
A favorite of ours is the Otters at Play Puzzle. The puzzle includes 64 pieces and—once put together—exhibits happy otters playing in a clear body of water with other sea life. Who doesn’t love happy otters? The best part about this puzzle is that it is made of recycled board and features colors from vegetable-based inks.

Mermaid Presents
Do you know a little one that would absolutely adore just about anything mermaid? We have the perfect gifts for them! Just as we specialize in sustainability, we specialize in all things mermaid. From accessories to tails, our selection of mermaid-themed products is not to be missed.

The Mono Fin can be inserted into tails, allowing her to swim like a real-life mermaid, but it can also be used without a tail.

A Bowfish Studios makeover is a unique holiday present that not only gets your little one out of the house this winter, but it offers them a setting in which they can engage in pretend play. In addition to mermaid makeovers, we also offer unicorn, fairy, shark, and dragon makeovers (we can’t forget about the boys, can we?). While sharks and dragons cost just $35 per child, we have Style Packages and Dress Up Packages for all other makeovers. Each session ranges from 15-45 minutes depending on the package you select…just enough time to get your little one all dolled up!
