Project FACEMASK

Project FACEMASK

by BOWFISH KIDS

We need your help donating supplies for workers in need:

Fabric Cutters & Sewers

The Bowfish community has really stepped up and donated but to meet the demands of so many healthcare workers, healthcare facilities, and essential workers in our community we need more supplies. Specifically fabric cutters. Please watch the video below on how you can contribute to this project. Also, if you can sew let us know! Please reach out to info@bowfishkids.com if sewing is a skill you'd be willing to donate. We will share how to receive supplies and make the masks.

If you would like to donate supplies or have any questions please send us an email to: info@bowfishkids.com

Our Operation

COLLECT. We collect supplies needed for making these masks and distribute to our sewers. Anyone in our community can drop-off the following: Tightly woven fabrics, elastics or hair ties. We are also asking those in our community to help cut fabric for our sewers. You can see how to cut fabric in the video above.

SEW
. We've joined forces with members of our community to pump out as many face masks as possible for healthcare + essential workers in our area. If you can sew and want to join our team please let us know!

DISTRIBUTE. We are getting these masks to those in our community who are on the front lines of this crisis.

800 Masks So Far! Wow!

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, I wanted to use all the amazing connections I've made within the local Ocean City, New Jersey community and beyond to help the healthcare and essential workers who are risking so much. So, with my background in fashion design and construction, I thought the best way I could help was to start making face masks. It quickly became apparent that the need was so great that I had to enlist a team of sewers to keep up. As of the second week in April, our little team has created over 984 masks for hospitals, healthcare and essential workers, like the Ocean City Police Department. Unfortunately, it looks as if our work will not be slowing down anytime soon, so if you want to join in the effort, please email us at info@bowfishkids.com we can use all the help we can get.

I also want to mention how lucky I feel to be apart of a community that is so giving and willing to help one another. I feel so proud to have been able to organize this but know without all of the names listed, none of this could have come to fruition.
TEAM WORK MAKES THE DREAM WORK!

Our Donors

We had so many people say that they felt like they couldn't contribute because they could not sew, however without the donations and effort of cutting fabric.. there would be nothing for us to sew. So we THANK YOU!
